Every time I think I am ready to delve into tarot, I feel a little over whelmed. Mostly because I can't find a deck I click with. I think I may have found it here. Going to sit on it for a few days just to make sure. Pretty excited!
I've been studying it at my own pace for about a year. I pull a card in the morning and night, record it in a little notebook, and then study the meaning from two books. I use two decks, and the Mythic deck is my favorite. One of the books I study from is the Motherpeace book, but I don't have the deck. There are so many decks to choose from! It is a little overwhelming at first, but I think if you just go in open, willing to learn from the cards, it doesn't seem so daunting. I'm going into my second year, and this year I'm going to focus on spreads and the astrological meanings of the Minor Arcana. Enjoy your journey with the Tarot Joleen. I bet you will love it.
I am pretty excited about it. The loyalty I have to my oracle cards is, they are to me what my dolls were to me when I was a kid. That might sound really juvenile, but it's the only way I can describe that closeness. Maybe it's just silliness but that is how I feel. Now tarot cards would also be endearing but more like a favorite teacher?
