First Harvest or Lammas is Aug 1 although many have begun their sabbat celebrations already.

Blessed first harvest to all.

Coexist

Oakland Zoo has removed a statue of the Ten Commandments that had existed there since 1966.  Other religious beliefs want acceptance, but they push issues like this.  If you want acceptance, then stop doing things like this.  What was this statue hurting?  Really, really think about it.

Now for the obvious part, I have had a love for elephants for as long as I can remember and the "connection" I felt to  them I always figured was imaginary.  It's not.

Grimoire and other stuff

This is no secret, we don't have alot of money and, if at any point in time, I can reuse, I will give it my best shot.  I had two journals that I had written in not even half of each.  I put them together "practical magic" style and came up with this little book.

I also have a book where I write my rituals in.

I have another book for "spells".  Maybe, someday, I will want to put them all in one book, but for now there is a purpose to having them each in their own books.

I am not an artist, these pictures are just for me to, sort of help me visualize, or if I have had a moment in dream time that was very real, I will try to put it to paper to help me recall the moment.

All three have some sort of "green" information in them.  Even though I am going on three years now, I am so new.  Most of my spiritual work up to this point has been internal, uh...3 years?  LOL!  A lot of work was internal, I have been wiccan, pagan, wiccan and back to pagan.  The only thing I am certain of is that I am a green witch.  I know what my archetypes are, which pantheons I like to work with, and the deities I am drawn to.  

I have always been drawn to the greek pantheon and believe it or not, my first real exposure to them was dungeons and dragons, because, unfortunately for me, I didn't get drawn to history of the world until later in life.

Moon Lodge and dreaming

Once again, just after my period, my dreams are more vivid and I remember more about them.  To the point that I will wake up, look up interpretations, fall back to sleep, and I will do this two or three times.

I long for women.  Women who think like me, and feel a greatness and gratitude for being woman.  I yearn to learn from these women, and the ancient ones.  I don't want to live in the past with regret anymore.  I want to be here.

Today I asked elephant to help clear the way to a job that's right for Guy, and to bring it to him with haste.

Elephants to Weeds

You know when you set yourself on a mission to purchase a special something, and you think you know what you are doing, only it turns out you don't.  That happens to me sometimes.
Today I was wanting to buy an elephant statue, a small one priced under $5.  Found a few elephants, stuffed mostly, or for plants, or way more than my price range. 
What I did find?
Magic and Medicine of Plants   from Readers Digest.  We paid $3.  A Green Rhino Key Bracelet , mine has a sun, moon, sun-moon-and stars, whistle (that works), bell, green hand blown  glass charm, 2 clips and a key.  It was very green witch to me and I love it.  We paid $5 for it.  And then the very first thing I grabbed, was a white marble mortar and pestle a smaller one for magic, my bigger one would be for herbal remedies.  I have been wanting a smaller mortar and pestle for a while now. 
So, some times when I think I am going out to get this, I am really going out to get that.

A dream and love

There was an indoor pool first a little dog jumped in and then swam across and walked up the stairs to me and then a larger, yellow blonde animal leapt in and leapt out into my lap, she was a tiger <3 All love and playful.

 Passion, Power, Devotion

The Tiger is the symbol of darkness and the new Moon. When a Tiger totem enters your life, expect new adventures. It will awaken new passion and power. Tiger people do their best work at night. They are very sensual and passion people and devoted parents. Your best work will be done at night. Tigers are associated with water and have all the properties of the element of Water – healing, power through gentle flow, feminine energies. In China, there are 5 mystic tigers: The red tiger is south, summer and fire, the black tiger is the symbol of north, winter and water, the blue tiger is east, spring and vegetation, the white tiger is west, autumn and all metals, the yellow tiger is ruler of the Earth and its energies.

The "Garden" and The "Book"

They have grown just a bit.  From left to right, lemon balm, sage, more lemon balm, snap dragons, morning glories and chammomile and on the boxes below is more chammomile. 
It has been so very hot lately and I only put them in the window in the morning, because our window faces west the afternoon sun is way too hot and we end up closing the curtain.

I try to keep things very simple as I am not an artist, by any means.  I only keep a book because, for the most part my "BOS" would be the numerous composition books I have, alot of journaling, more so than spells, charms, and what not.  So the very few spells I have make up the first few pages of the book.  I have no idea how I would fill one of those absolutely lovely huge books of shadows, but I do love them, just wouldn't be a good thing for me.  I work with what I got.  Heh, and I don't have the budget for one, nor the talent to fill it.
